Default Uncaught Exception

Please Login to Remove!

Hi Everyone,

I have been getting the following message on my BB 8900 and can't get rid of it. Any suggestions?

Uncaught exception:net.rim.device.api.system.ObjectGroupRea dOnlyException

I am using Op system V4.6.1.109 (Platform 4.2.0.74)

It would be helpful to know which application or module is throwing the exception. That info should be availkable from the dialog, if not find it in the event log, hold dow the Alt key while pressing LGLG on the home screen.

I have just noticed it comes on when i try and phone someone or check my missed or previously dialled numbers on the call log

If this is a constant bug, then I'd suggest updating your OS.

You need a PC and to follow the directions in that link carefully, and that should fix the any glitches, or bugs you maybe running into.

The steps you need to follow carefully;
1. Download the above OS file to the PC then install it to the PC by running (double clicking) the file you downloaded.
2. Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
3. Plug in BB and double click on "Loader.exe." It's located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.
