I'm on a 8330 and my NE2 is up tomorrow. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the new Tour is out by Jan 15th (via the rumors). I just looked on Verizon's sight and a NEW 8330 is on sale for $9.99 w/2 yr. contract. WOW!

Yesterday there was a Facebook update from BlackBerry that said something to the effect of "Tour 2 coming soon!". I went to read all the comments on it and the post was no longer available! I went to see who all liked it and it said it had been removed......still that is slightly good news that it WAS on the way

I'm looking forward to the Tour 2 also, and at present I'm thinking that will be my upgrade choice. May not get it immediately upon release, tho... DH and I both have 8330s and his is in far worse shape than mine. Probably he will upgrade first.

Why would it be under the Bold name if they just brought out the 9700?

I know it's just a rumour, but I was wondering the reasoning behind it.

Because it makes it a "CDMA" Bold... why do they call the 83xx, 85xx, 89xx all curves? Marketing, that's why.

Ahh, okay. I've been trying to figure out the naming of phones, and figured it had to do partly with the series numbers, but that doesn't always make sense.

Rumors are still flying around that it is Feb. 3rd +- 7 days. I personally don't see it coming out anytime soon. We'll hear the release date first from Verizon and/or other websites. I just don't think Verizon is good enough to keep it a secret and then just release it. Time will tell.

Now THAT would be great since I foolishly bought the 8530. I am unhappy with it, but to be fair will give it a week to make sure. Even if the Tour 2 doesn't come out until 2011, I am STILL thinking I will suffer with 9630 and 8330 until then.
