Exclamation Wts/wtt: Near Mint Blackberry Pearl 8100 Cingular Red+brand New Invisible Shield

Please Login to Remove!

Description:So some of you probably remember the problems i had with the blackberry pearl i had using it with cingular gophone (i could not turn off the notification sounds from gophone). So I have to sell it, and I am very sad. Anyways, so I have a near mint condition (no scratches, blemishes nothing) Blackberry Pearl 8100 locked to Cingular/AT&T in the red color. I cant say its brand new, because if you take a magnifying glass to it, i'm sure you will see blemishes. Most everything you see in the picture however, is dust or oil. In my excitement of getting the phone, I also purchased a brand new full body Invisible Shield for the phone, but never opened the package
Model :Blackberry Pearl 8100
Price :200 obo, or trade for a new LG shine , iphone, etc.
Currency :USD
Condition : 9.5/10
Includes : Charger, Box, Manual, USB Cord, Software CD, Invisible Shield Full Body Kit, Battery, Phone.

Selling Details
Location : Huntington Beach CA
Willing to Ship : Yes
Payment Methods : Paypal (i'm verified and have ebay selling feedback under lukekim91)
Contact : Luke Kim 714-851-8572.

and i would love to keep this phone-if anyone knows how to delete sounds off a ringtone without messing up the firmware and phone's usability (java.service errors, and missing messaging icons) i will gladly pay money via paypal.

did you try editing all of the profiles on the phone and making them silent?

this one is a specific problem, and isn't the profiles.

this is a sound for the gophone prepaid notification balance, and is not a sound to be edited. i've done everything possible phonewise, but believe there may be more to do with internal messing of the firmware.

i removed all sounds from the phone, which just led to more problems.

this phone is completely fine if you aren't using gophone (or if you are and don't mind a ding-DING sound after each txt), my friend put his regular service sim card in and the phone works like a beauty with cingular.

thnx!

According to the user forums on the AT&T Wireless website, this notification CAN NOT be turned off. From the tone of the AT&T representative that answers questions posed to them, they have NO PLANS to allow users to deactivate the notification either. So..... if you plan on getting a new phone with them and continue to use AT&T's pre-paid services, you can expect those notifications to continue on your new device.

yes-thank you for the clarification.

and yes-i am aware that these notifications will continue-but on other phones, it is just a vibrate instead of a sound.

looking more for money offers now, folks! send me your best offer.

thnx!
