I got BB Pearl 8100 from ATT. I got it unlocked and now I'm using T-Mobile sim card to make calls and stuff. My BB version is v4.2.0.73

Question:
What version do I need to upgrade it? Can I use T-Mo version or just ATT?

There is no T-Mobile version. Your phone will always say AT&T.

well to answer your question, yes you can use the Tmo version of the OS, the carrier doesnt matter. follow the link posted above to the latest OS. make sure you delete vendor.xml as instructed there or if its not there, in the faq in my signature. welcome to the forums

Sorry misread that post. You can use any carriers version, but it will always have the AT&T logo on the splash screen.

I'm kinda confused on which one to download. I need the desktop software AND the handheld software OS rite???? I went to the blackberry site and downloaded a huge 212 megabyte file called Desktop Software V4.3 b25 with Media Manager (english). I don't see any handheld OS software for download. Just the desktop software. Is that separate?

It is seperate, follw the link in the 3rd post. That software is the latest. Install Desktop Manager first, then the newly downloaded OS.
