Default deleting a email folder

Please Login to Remove!

I had two email accounts and now one is dead so I would like to remove the folder thing off my phone, not just hide it. Is this possible, If I go to setup email accnts or edit them this email does not even show up in there, just on my home screen.

Resend your service books from BIS [email setup icon] and this should remove the icon.

And if it persists after that, remove the Service Books from the device for that email address. Look for the [CMIME] and [CICAL] entries for that address.

Not sure where to look for those items. In options email the phone does not list the bad email. I did the resend and it just understandably did it for my working email. Not a big deal just one of those things that bugs me when I cannot figure it out.

Options - Advanced - Service Books That's where you'll find them

OS 6 does not have a menu option like that. I have not been able to delete it yet but have resided to hide it. This os has the feeling of not being finished

Options/ then just type "service books" without the quotes.

On OS6, it shows up right away as the 1st thing in the list. The OS may have that unfinished feeling to you, but only because you're not that familiar with it. There are issues with the OS, but the feature you want is very "finished". You just need to familiarize yourself with OS6. It is very different from all previous OS's.

If you aren't sure how to delete the service books, or which ones to delete, you shouldn't really mess around with it. It can cause other issues if you delete the wrong service books...then you're headed for more doodoo...

@ Midnight Draven - he's right....you're talking about previous OS's, not OS6. There's no "advanced" feature in the options list in OS6. Typing "advanced" in the options list yields no results.

That was good. that was the first time I actually seen inside the service books. yes kinda scary to mess with much in there. But I deleted the 2 entries with that email address and the folder is gone.

I know that 6 is good, I just have some disappointments, one being the not able to select text in my email msgs.

My apologies. I have no knowledge of OS 6. I'll assume its the same until someone tells me different.
