Default I went in to trade my 7230 for a 7100 but didn't....why????

Please Login to Remove!

I was fortunate that T-mobile gave me an extended time til the 7100 came out to be about to trade my 7230 for the 7100 if I wanted.

Today I went to the T-mobile store and switched sim cards to the new one. I love my 7230 but I felt that the telephone could be easier to use without an earpiece (volume etc)....

I found out that the 7100 was slower (the processor was waaay underpowered), the logic was worse than the original, the suretype was ok no faster no slower just different and I am sure in an hour it would have been cool.

Overall there was NO compelling reason to change and i only saw downsides...without any upsides except for a cooler look.

I get 300 e-mails a day and use 5000 minutes a month...I need functions and so "cool" does not matter when i am talking service 24 hours a day to reach and be reached by my clients around the world.

Thank you

Elliot

Interesting. Speakerphone is a compelling reason for me. When I was on Nextel, I used that function on the 7510 a lot. I sorely missed it on the 7230 and now am glad I have speakerphone on the 7100T!! I'm not sure bluetooth is 'compelling', but it sure is a great nice-to-have. And to be able to initiate Instant Messaging is another great benefit. And then there's more memory for more email, apps, images, and ringers!

To each his own...

Well I'd say he shouldn't use a BlackBerry for voice at all. The OP should use only a 7230 for their PDA/email and a phone for talking. If I had to use a 7230 for speaking to people for 5000 minutes a month I'd probably hang myself.
