Default 7100t Questions Regarding Messaging (I am new here)

Please Login to Remove!

I just returned my Sidekick II to try out the BB7100t. So far I like it, but it seems more difficult to set up. I have a few questions:

I had messages that were from Tmo with some hints and such, and somehow they got deleted. I cannot find where they went. Is there some secret folder where deleted messages are stored?

When I set up the BB email, it calls is webmail yet it goes to the 7100's messaging client. Is that 'real' email? Also, it said I can set up email through the computer with a link but I don't see any link documented anywhere. Does anyone know this link? I think it would be much easier to set it up through the computer.

I guess that's it for now, I know I'll have plenty of other questions as I fool around with the unit some more. It ran out of charge for now :(

Thanks!
Jay

Welcome to the BlackBerry Community.

Yes, blackberry email is as real as it gets.

You can setup your account here:
https://webclient.blackberry.net/Web...w.jsp?site=tmo

Go to Options, Network (or status) and select Register Now from the menu. That will resend the tmobile hints and tips emails.

Thank you so much! I set up my two pop accounts in about 20 seconds.

I cant find the options for 'register now'. I looked in almost all the menus.

Thanks

on a side note (don't mean to hijack the thread) is it possible to have more than one "From:" address when responding to email?

I have two accounts set up on the web client but mail received from both accounts can only be responded from one email address if that makes sense.

Sorry, my english is not that great so I hope this made sense,.

With the standard email app, NO, you can't have multiple 'from' email addresses. However, some folks have used an aftermarket email app by Reqwireless that I've heard does provide that functionality. I haven't tried it though.
