Default How to delete old owners email account?

Please Login to Remove!

Anyone know how to delete a email account of the old owner? I sold my 9650 to someone and he cannot get my email address out of the phone I guess. What is the easiest way to do this?

And cancel your BIS account with your carrier.

But don't the service books return when you reboot? Would a security wipe be better? If the OP got another device with the same carrier, would it be better to transfer the BIS accounts to the new BB?

If the previous owner's BIS account is still active, yes, the service books will get pushed again. Also, new owner can not setup new BIS account until previous owner has canceled his BIS account. Hence Dub's suggestion to make sure the old BIS is canceled.

But if there is no data plan associated with the BlackBerry, then deleting the service books would be sufficient. No service books will be pushed again because there is nothing to be pushed.

The blackberry may be registered to new owner with BIS, setup his accounts, but as the blackberry wasn't wiped of service books before hand, the old service books remain...deleting them would get rid of them, and because the email address associated with these service books doesn't exist on the new BIS account, they won't be pushed.

.... Ditto MD...what I wrote was in error in part. No data plan, or with new data plan, the old owner's service books will not get pushed back after being deleted.
