Just to add - doesn't look like us CDMA people will be able to swap any faceplates with the GSM versions, as there are slight differences that look like they won't fit each other. Bummer, because I was thinking of getting the Verizon 8330 but realized the red faceplate won't fit.

this is great, i had a crimson 8310 but i had to turn it in for warranty and since they didnt have the crimson in a full kit (i had had quite a few problems with mine 4 phones in 3 months) they opted to send the whole kit. i still have the back plate to the crimson, and i miss it i loved the color. now if i can find a cover i can switch it. yay.

Hi, I changed the Silver chassis on my 8320 for a Titanium one... but after changing it and assembly it, easy thing with this guide. I noticed today that I left inside the screen some fingerprints. I will tear it down again and clean it, but how I can clean it safely with out scratching it?

A nice lint free cloth, such as you might clean a camera lens with.

This is the part where most people run into problems.
That was the part in my guide where I said to make sure it was very clean as it is very easy to get dust and fingerprints on the inside screen. I cleaned it with my camera lens cleaning cloth then blew it out with canned air. Before putting it back on, hold it up to bright light and look through it at different angles as you may not see the dust or fingerprint at one angle. I found I had to clean my 2 or 3 times before it was perfect. Just take your time.

I have two blackberry curves. My first one was gold and it is not in working order because somebody punched in the screen. The LCD is like a billion different colors.

My new one is titanium. I liked my gold one better so i thought i would switch the housings. I didn't think it would be that complicated so i started without any instructions or tools. Good thing i started on my damaged one first b/c boy was a WRONG.

there is some sort of adhesive at the top that completely tore off part of my plastic LCD protector screen. So to make a long story short, yesterday i dropped my NEW phone and cracked the housing screen, so i was forced to purchase a new housing for it. I found a brand new gold one that COMES WITH THE SCREWDRIVER AND THE PRYING TOOL for 12.99 on ebay. The guy has a store on there that sells lots of other accesories as well. He has the crimson red, silver, and titanium ones as well. His name is Truesupplier.

Has this been confirmed? Seems crazy that the CDMA Curve would be different from the GSM version. To my knowledge all the other BB's models had swappable parts between CDMA and GSM versions.

Easiest places to see the differences are on the speaker area. On the CDMA versions, the indicator light is on the faceplate where the GSM light is on the top frame. Also, look at the slant on the sides of the call and end keys compared to the straight sides on the GSM models.

I went for some canned air and also found a tissue to clean camera lenses with a little bit of isopropilic alcohol and took all the fingerprints and the little dust particles perfectly, the canned air the key to be able to close the front screen with out any dust; but as you mentioned it takes some patience to have it with out any dust, but it's completely worthed.....
