What should I enable or disable in order to get the fastest browsing? Right now I'm usuing the IE option with everything checked under options on my 8700c and it seems to take a while to load up pages like msn.com. Any ideas?

I have mine set the same way and it seems to work really well. Pretty fast without many problems.

I always keep style sheet enabled but lately it became so slow that I diabled. I simulate it like IE so I can go to my bank site as well.

Is style sheet just the back ground colors?

Question

I am undecided between a new palm 700 with mobile 5.0 and the Blackberry 8703e. I shouldn't say undecided, more like lack of information is the case. I have seen what the palm 700 with windows can do as far as the internet. No one i know or no cell phone business around here in York, PA has one that i can test out.
How does version 4.1 compare to to windows mobile 5.0? Does it display a full page that you to scroll up, down, left and right? Can i access any website just like a PC? Basically, does it appear as a miniature version of the website as shown from a PC? Any help on this topic would be greatly appreciated!!
I am trying to get one of these phones by Saturday 10/28/06

I had 4 TREOs and all were crappola. Each had a different hardware issue and I finally gave up and went to the BB 8700c. No regrets at all.

Have you done a search on BB features? That will probably help.

As for scroll, the BB scrolls up and down, not right and left. I can't tell you about differences with WM 5.0 as I have not seen nor used a WM device.

Question

Wow, quick response!! Thank you! Just 1 more question, I am still wondering, is the websites displayed just like or very close to displayed websites on a PC.
Do they appear very similar or is it mostly text? Also, can you access any website available on the internet or just basic ones like a regular cell phone?

you can access any website, whether or not it renders the same as it would on a computer varies from site to site.. it shows images unless you disable it, all in all, it is a fairly comparable experience to a computer, i like it better than the way treos render because it seems to be a little bit easier to sort through the page on the blackberry..

for most smartphones, think of it as if you were to take a page and smush it into a narrow browser window, it renders just like that, lots of scrolling down, but it is very readable/usable and for most sites comparable to a computer
