Really hard to say whether one should upgrade to the 8800 or not since all we have so far is rumor and conjecture. I need to see it actually out there in use and then I shall decide.

My contract with Tmo on 7105t is almost up. I had been considering getting the Pearl. Nice features on the Pearl. And I am use to Suretype, so no problem there. The only thing wrong for me is the camera on the Pearl. My company doesn't allow cameras, so my Pearl would be left in the car while I'm at work. That's why I am now considering the 8800 Indigo sans camera. I will wait and see. If the price is right and the features are as good as I have heard, I will get the 8800. If not, I will go with the Pearl.

if your used to suretype, than the pearl is the way to go. If your on BES, then the camera can be disabled through the IT policy. Check with your company, if your not on BES, than go with the 8800. (So you can take your phone into work)

Kevin . Wheather the camera is disabled or not its still a camera phone . Allot of workplaces do not want a pearl in their workplace. Since there is a way to activate the camera function on the 8100 after it would be disabled by bes admin . That is a primary issue with 81xx . Why do you think most still work with 7xx or 87xx or 7xxx's?
The indigo is made for the workplace.

Dude, it depends on the place. Some might let you in if it is disabled, and some might not.

Most corporate offices do not allow the pearl . The pearl is nothing more than bb's answer to the hiptop/samsung/tmobile sidekick. Disigned for the "civilian" market.

Yea. At my workplace the pearls are a no no . All of us use the 87xx or the "upgraded version" that is camera free.

I dont believe a word out of your mouth now! You said only 3 people were testing "these" new phones. You also said you loved the new phone. And you told me that your "toy" was already the nokia 8803. What are you going to tell me next?
