There are lots of differences between North America and the rest of the world you have to know and I guess you should try one day. (look here without 3w: pixdaus.com/pics/jt8RMlLW2GpjSsX64b.jpg)

Brunoel, FYI, I have likely spent more time in Europe than you have on any other continent, or especially North America. And regardless of your twisting my analogy, If the BlackBerry battery is dead, it's dead. The radio won't work. If your BMW is out of fuel, it won't drive. Both the main purposes of both the BlackBerry and auto fail when the main source of energy drained.
Your expectations are as unrealistic as your mind is small.

Do you even live in Europe? I rarely see Hummers in any country I've visited in Europe unless they're driven by American military members.
As far as crossing borders, I've crossed my share, and many of them with my BlackBerry. I was born in Brasil, I live in Afghanistan, and I have been to 23 other countries besides those (including 11 in both Eastern and Western Europe) in the 27 years I've been alive.
So now that we've dispensed of debunking your arguments, I'd like to advise you to quit whilst you have your dignity. All you're doing now is making an ass of yourself.

Impressed
to dc/dc :
é Impressionante como um cara "tao" viajado como você nao seja capaz de entender piadas ironicas (i.e: Hummer etc.).
Btw: I'm French & 30 years old & you can keep traveling to reach 60 + mixing all continents. Also one advice when you go somewhere try to share your feelings, experiences, & opinions out of the US army environment & at least in one additional language.
Salam & eid mubarak.

¿Toda esta una broma? If you were trying to be funny, you failed.
Also, it is very important not to assume anything. It only serves to make an ass of you and me (though mostly you in this case). I'm not in the Army, and I never have been in any branch of the military. I'm in Afghanistan by choice with a private company, and if you saw me in the streets of any country in Europe, including France, you wouldn't even know I was American. I promise. Ich Mischung gut mein freund.
Anyway, none of this has anything to do with your original complaint, which I think we've thoroughly quashed. So, have you gotten your N8 yet? I'm curious to know how you like it. Sono una puttana di telefonós. I have an HTC Legend on the way to me and will probably get a Desire HD when it's available.
Tenha um bom dia!

update
just to come back on two three things on the BB:
- when BB connected to a pc via usb I cannot access the phone memory but just the micro SD card .
- Apps seems pretty expensive on BB & 160 $ for Garmin Gps software is a bit exagerated knowing that you can have a brand new gps device for less 100$. (I have to admit that Apple practices the same policy)
- for Nokia: it seems that Nokia is postponing again the release date of N8. (which I won't buy $$)
Btw: Charmaine Eggberry coming from BB (VP) was recently hired at Nokia. Good or bad I don't know

Talk to Garmin. They set the price. Or use TeleNav. $10/month. Always currnt maps. Live traffic. You won't find that in a sub-$100 stand alone device.

Thanks for a good laugh.
We had a 60% increase in BlackBerry users this year so far.

Mobile professionals do not forget to charge their phone. That would be very unprofessional.

Just grabbed a few of these. Makes it a lot easier. And easy to pack for the mobile professional.
