You must be on AT&T. 4.2.1.96 is really stable, but if you use your phone as an MP3 Player like I do, then upgrading will solve several problems there. If you find you must pull the battery often to get E-mails and such, verison 4.2.1.108 also gets a handle on that.

If you use your 8100 for Phone and texting, hen I don't think you will see a benefit unless you want 11 themes and the knowlege of knowing your phone will have newer stuff than anyone you know.

What year Supra ya got?

After you click the link, you must select Pearl 8100, then use the first download link.

The backup during the upgrade will preserve the Theme. Just make sure you delete the vendor.xml file or you won't be able to upgrade.

Man those '91s stock were harsh for me back in the day. I owned a 1989 Nissan 300ZX Turbo that was crazy fast at the time with a 205HP, 3.0 liter, 12-valve SOHC V-6. When Toyota released the updated Supra (ie. yours) I believed it had either a 3.2 or 3.4 liter 24-valve DOHC V-6 and an Intercooled Turbo pushing 232HP. Whew, then in 1991, Nissan gave me my next gift and I bet you know what that was......now I drive a 3/4 ton crew cab pickup that weights 7,000 pounds. Nice ride man!!!!

supras have always been inline 6's. those z31's were neat cars. friend of mine had one. ran 14.0 with just a boost controller on it.

Did you install the the OS to your PC, i.e., double-clicking on the exe file and allowing it to install?

Never mind, I found my problem, it looks like the OS installs again the Vendor.XML. I deleted it and I am in the process of upgrading. Thanks a lot guys for your help and support.

I would try uninstalling and reinstalling your Desktop Manager. I don't think the device software is the problem.
