Default Telenav's Voice Prompts

Please Login to Remove!

Alright so as a few telenav users are well aware of,the voice command prompts on Telenav are a bit under par compared to most other GPS systems(including Wayfinder).Especially when youre driving with 4 loud mouth friends in the back and the music in your car is loud enough to drown out an avalanche.

My question is,is there any possible way to hear the voice prompts through your bluetooth earpiece?

(Apologies if this question has been asked before)

I tested the voice prompts through a bluetooth earpiece before upgrading to 4.7 and at that time I was unable to hear the prompts. I imagine TeleNav has not changed anything since upgrading.

It would be a nice added feature though.

I was also wondering if you plugged your BB into a cassette adapter (like I use for my shuffle) if that will work. Have to check on that.

Im on 4.7 myself,i agree,it would defenitely be a welcome feature for many Telenav users. I'll be sure to write to them about it.(That is, having to rely on their questionable customer care)

Hm havnt thought of plugging into a cassette adapter. Would be pretty useful to control from your car's stereo

Alright,so not exactly the solution I was searching for but thought I'd share.

Followed up on Stinsonddog suggestion and plug my 8100 into the casette adapter.Already had the adapter, just needed the headphone adaptor for my BB.Plugged it in and it sounded as clear as ever, wanted to listen to music in the background too,so went into the music player on my BB,started to play the entire folder, switched to Telenav, changed the voice commands to high and sure enough I was getting the voice prompts just as loud as my music played.

Yes the music player doesnt compare to my nano, but its a pretty fair compromise. =D

That's cool. I will try it too, but my car is 400 miles away right now.
