I respond to a lot of my SMS and emails when on the subway, where there is no cell service.

If i don't save the message as a draft, and I accidentally select enter, the BB tries to send out the message but eventually realizes that there is no service, and a red box stating that the max number of attempts to send the message have been tried, with no success.

I then have to copy the send message and resubmit it again.

My old HTC Mogul would give me the same message but eventually submit the SMS or email would be sent , once the radio received service. Basically it never gave up trying.

Does there exist a setting within the BB options that instructs the BB to keep on trying to resend the message? Or do I just have to remind myself to save the letters/text as a draft and then mail them out when I get above ground?

Options > SMS Text > Retries = #
(I think 5 is the maximum.)

On version 5.0.0.484, the retries option do no exist in that menu choice. Perhaps it is somewhere else.
