Until they get it right?

Until the expansion in complete?

Until they feel relatively confident subscribers' needs are being met for future growth?

Until upgraded BIS/BES functionality is in place?

I don't know, pick one.

Or, better yet, pick them all. I will be asleep also.

I'm sure these have been going on for years, we just didn't have a heads up from those folks with T-Support sharing the info about it. Dataoutages.com keeps us more in the loop about these outages than we have been in the past.

Is this the outage that was rescheduled because of the flooding in the Midwest, or something like that?

No, that one has run a couple weeks ago. There was one last Saturday night also, that many people never even noticed, as this one will likely go unnoticed, as well.

Wirelessly posted (Verizon 8830)

I live in EST time zone. I guess for those customers in England, they would be inconvenienced because of the time difference.

This only applies to North American subscribers. I've edited the initial post to reflect that.

At least they run updates, and they are careful to do it when the lowest percentage of customers will be affected. They always do it in the middle of the night, and usually on a weekend. If them doing this scheduled middle of the night stuff keeps the system from crashing, do it every day between 2:00 and 6:00 AM E.S.T.

Only data on the RIM network, that would include your BIS email.

Browser use and other internet data should not be affected.

RIM does not do voice.
