Wirelessly posted (RIM Blackberry 7130: BlackBerry7130/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

I just switched over to a 7130 because my 8700 was stolen, so far I am loving this new device, its smaller and I'm pickin the Suretype up a lot quicker than I expected to. I guess I'll be in the 7100 forum now, before this I stayed in the 8700 and the general forums with the occasional visit to the 8100 forum. I just wanted to say hello since I will probably be in this forum more now.

It's a great device. I have one after having an 8700. Of course, I'm just waiting as patiently as possible for the 8100c. Ungh...maybe one day I'll be happy with the phone I have, but probably not!

The reason I got this instead of another 8700 was because I wanted to expriment with Suretype to are if I want the 8100 or the 8800... This point I think I'll take the 8100, the smaller device is worth having to adapt to this keyboard. I didn't realize how small the 7130s were until I got mine yesterday, I expected them to be closer in size to a 7100/7105 type device. I love that new device feeling, nothin better then the love of a new blackberry...

Yeah, me too. Unfortunately, my wallet, and more importantly, my bank tends to disagree.

Be careful of using "are" instead of "see". Happens to me all the time.

I also moved from the 8700 to a 7130. I really like the size a lot. I dont mind sure type, but a full QWERTY is better. I am thinking about the 8800 as well. If the pearl had wifi, I might look at that, but wifi is the only thing that is missing for me on my 7130c that makes it perfect.

Good luck with your new device.

Yeah, I love the 7130 too.
But, i do miss the full qwerty sometimes. Like when typing a long email. Make sure you proof read it before you send it....

Almost sure to have some "are/see" "is/us" "hey/get" mistakes in there.

Really looking forward to the 8800.

This is my first BlackBerry. Previously I was using a PDA and a cell phone. I put off owning a BlackBerry before as I did not care for the size and shape

When I visited the store and tried the 7130c, I was unsure if I could live with the SureType input method. I thought to myself, I’m just going to gamble and get one of these. Everything else about this model was so compelling. I knew the only way I was going to be able to fairly evaluate SureType was to own it and use it for awhile.

I'm happy to report than in just less than a week, I have not only adapted to SureType, but I am actually enjoying it a great deal. It makes if possible for me to own a 7130c which is ideal for my needs. In addition I can use it one handed as I used to do when sending text messages on my cell phone.

The light sensing, high resolution display is outstanding. The first display that I can use outdoors easily. The voice quality and connectivity is as good as any cell phone I’ve had (that’s many) and the feature set is very intuitive and comprehensive. I especially like how every message of any type, email, voicemail or text, all show up in the same window.

One very nice feature is the speed at which it operates. Now that I’m familiar with the OS I can move from one application to the next, place calls, read & send emails, all very quickly. This is a real time saver.

The time and effort RIM has put into the continued improvement and refinement of the OS is very apparent. It’s easy to understand now, why BlackBerry has such a loyal following. I am completely happy my new 7130c.
