Hi everyone -

I've read up a little on dealing with PDF/.doc files as email attachments - while my BB Curve can open them and view them without problems, I don't like how much memory space they take up. What's the best third-party program to save these attachments to the SD card?

BeamBerry? eFile?

Or is it just easier to use my computer to save these attachments to my hard drive, then transfer them back to my BB's SD Card?

BeamBerry is the tops, I have been using for a couple years, and the newer 3.0 version is pretty darn good. Worth the 49.00

I've been playing around with the 10-day trial version - so BeamBerry only works if you've already used your computer to save the PDF and .doc files to your SD card first?

I can't find any way to save my email attachments to the SD card so that BeamBerry can open them.

Correct, you save the document to your Media card either via USB or from an email via BeamBerry.

Then, go to the BeamBerry icon and open them from there.

Sorry, the can't be save to the Media Card from BeamBerry, but to the BeamBerry server.

Hmmm...strange that it can't just manage my files on my BB without having to resort to using a server!

But I can move a file to the SD card via USB, and view from BeamBerry.

Yeah, I was just looking for a way to do it all on my BB, without my computer.

Edit: wait, figured out how to do it. You open an email with attachments, click the trackball and choose "Open with BeamBerry," then you have the option of viewing/saving the file. Then you can use the BeamBerry program to move it to the SD card. Nice!

I see no move command. Are you referring to copy? If so how big of a file can you copy and paste?
