So my Yahoo Mail lately has had problems where it won't be pushed for extended periods of time to my VZW BlackBerry 7250 using BIS. My Comcast and Gmail work fine, but just not Yahoo. I've tried pushing the service books again, and it doesn't get the email sent there.

Anyone else having problems like this? Any ideas?

Call Yahoo customer service. More people complain, faster they fix problems.

Also, empty inbox. If it is too huge, Yahoo stops pushing emails to blackberry.

I'm having a Yahoo BIS problem today, too. A different one: email is being pushed, I just can't validate (online) or send (from the Blackberry) for one of my two Yahoo BIS accounts.

Having Yahoo issues as well.

SOME, and only some e-mail, is not getting pushed, yet, some e-mail, from the same sender and with the same Re: field, IS being pushed.

This is nuts, it workd great for a couple of months, now random e-mail is not coming through.

Anyone have any idea what is going on, and/or how to fix it.

I've had the same problem for several weeks. I called Yahoo customer service and they were clueless on how Yahoo integrates with the blackberry internet service (BIS). Yahoo tech support told me that if it reaches your inbox, then it is NOT their problem. I spent about an hour with Verizon wireless data technical support trying to fix this problem. VZW data tech support told me that if I can receive and send emails through any means (Gmail, Comcast or PIN-to-PIN), then there is no problem with VZW or their blackberry service.

I wish you luck with your problem. For now I forward all messages from Yahoo to gmail and this seems to work for me. Whatever the problem is, it only seems to affect Yahoo. Yahoo seems to have no desire to fix the problem.

No response from either Yahoo or T-Mobile BIS support since 1/29/07, and the problem is still on-going. I have removed and resent the service books on my Yahoo BIS accounts, and one still works and the other still fails to send from the Blackberry.

phrider: What's the error you get when attempting to send? Does it X out? Open the message. What is the sent status? Is this a free Yahoo account? An SBC Global? A Yahoo BizMail account?

I have 2 free Yahoo accounts. One works, the other used to but now fails to send. Both receive fine.

The bounced messages are X'd out within about 5 seconds of a send. The Message Status is "Message included an invalid address." Messages were successfully sent to the same address via Blackberry from the other Yahoo account.

Also, I previously could not edit the bad Yahoo account info on the T-Mobile BIS interface.

Prompted by your question, I deleted the account on the T-Mobile BIS interface and re-created it.

1. Using the account E-Mail the same as the User ID, it works.
2. If I change the E-Mail address to something different than the User ID, it fails (this used to work).
3. I changed the E-Mail address back to the User ID, but changed the "Your Name" field to show alternative addresses, it works.

Problem solved.

Lesson -- at least on T-Mobile's Yahoo BIS, the User ID field must now match the E-Mail address field.

I believe this is a requirement of Yahoo. Unlike other services BIS tries to send through Yahoo's mail server rather than the BIS SMTP servers. If your UID is different from what Yahoo is expecting it may reject sending attempts.

I played with the upper/ lower case thing without success. The UserID field must match the E-Mail field, or at least that's what seems to be the case for me.
