Default PIN Release

Please Login to Remove!

I am about to sell my 8700g on eBay, and would like to make sure the PIN has been released from Cingular. When I set up email on my Pearl, I simply used the setup mail application on the Pearl, logged into my BIS account, and it asked me to switch PINs, so I did. Is there an application that can tell me if it has been released properly, I want to make sure the person who buys it doesn't have a problem?

Thanks

I don't know of any additional apps for this. However, when I sold my 7130e I did the same thing as you. The buyer had no problems setting up his BIS when he got it.

Default I have that problem

I just bought a second hand verizon 7130e. The prior owner did not release his PIN (and i can't contact him) so I can't register the BIS. How do I change the PIN or fix this problem? Verizon won't help because it seems they want to punish me from not buying a new phone from them.

You might try RIM.
