Default T-Mobile Email Booster/Data Rate/Unlimited Internet.

Please Login to Remove!

I recently purchased a Blackberry Curve 8520 from T-Mobile on a £15 a month contract. It comes with the Unlimited texts booster free, and the additional Email Booster from T-Mobile which is £5 a month, and compulsory at the time of purchase. The contract also includes the 'Capped Data Rate' from T-mobile for free.

If I were to change the Email Booster to the Unlimited Internet Booster, would I still be able to use BBM, and what would the difference be between the Capped Data Rate, and Unlimited Internet Boosters.

Cheers.

No. You need the blackberry booster for email and BBM, and the other features of a blackberry requiring a blackberry data plan.

You therefore also need the internet you have, to use the internet and data for apps.

unlimited internet has a fair use policy of 1GB, which a blackberry uses on internet and data for apps.

Blackberry booster is a fair use policy of 50MB for downloading of email only.
But is required to make all BB features available.

Also, I was on "unlimited internet" but had "capped data rate" on my plan details in my t-mobile.

Alright, thanks.

So I can still use the internet without the unlimited internet booster, it just has a lower fair use policy?
If that's correct^ would you say the unlimited internet booster was worth the extra £5 a month?

You have a capped data rate internet (which i cant find online) and as I edited [perhaps you didnt see it] mine was "unlimited internet" but stated a "capped data rate" on my plan details.

If you can find out what cap yours is at, would be helpful.

You already have internet, so getting unlimited internet (which isnt unlimited) is kinda pointless.
As blackberry compresses data, you'll never use 1GB, maybe not even 500MB a month.
Depending on how you use your phone of course.

Ahh okay, that makes more sense now.
When I got the contract over the phone it was meant to be unlimited internet, but when I checked online it said 'capped', so I guess it will be internet.
Thanks for your help.

Yeh, its the "unlimited internet" but they put a "capped data rate" option in your plans details.

I never had a problem with it. 1GB is alot for a blackberry.
