Hey, I have a blackberry curve 8310 fof at&t. Its gps capable, but I decided not 2 pay for the gps. My question is, if I use the gps feature in google maps or beyond 411, will I get charged since I didn't buy the feature?

Pay for GPS? GPS is free, paid for by US tax dollars. You need a BB data plan to access the map applications however (BBMaps, GoogleMaps, etc.). For more info, visit the GPS & Map section.

Google maps and other 3rd party maps only us data. SO if you have a BB data plan you will not get charged additional. The GPS feature works great with Google maps.

No, you're a bit confused.

You didn't pay at&t for at&t Navigator which is an application (one of many you could use). Paying or not paying for at&t Navigator does not enable or disable your GPS receiver.

You don't need to pay at&t to use your GPS receiver. It's free to use with any app of your choosing. Now, a given GPS app may have a one time or subscription fee associated with it. See the GPS forum's All Known GPS Apps thread for more details.
