I'm stuck @ DM custom install ?

Ok I made a mistake and I am now trying to fix it. I deleted the vendor .xml file in another DM I even checked the hidden files and could'nt see it so then I tried to install it again and got blocked. Now I'm at the custom mode again of the BB desktop mgr. and I put an in X in the box BB automatic update but this time I see there is an X in the box directly above it certificate synchronization is what it says should I leave it greyed and X is next to it or should I try to uncheck it?
