hi

i moved my besadmin account to my exchange 2010 (from 2007) server earlier in the week and all works fine. i have now started to move bes users from exchange 2007 to exchange 2010.

last night i moved 4 bes enabled users and 1 user is generating the following events (all others are working fine and no issue)

Message={user4@domain.com} MAPIMailbox::CheckUserOriginatedItem - OpenEntry (0x8004010f) failed, RefId=262462156, MsgFolderId=-5, FolderId=-3

and this error repeats itself over and over again. after i had moved the user i noticed it was in initialising phase for about 10-15 mins while the others had no issues at all.

I ran the IEMSTEST.exe and all is working fine (no errors except for ESW calendar which i did not enable)

What helped me in such cases is a battery pull. Activation will resume upon reboot.

will give that a go, weird thing is the users blackberry is working fine. i did run a handheld cleanup and at least now i am only getting the error once per hour rather than every 10 minutes. have just pulled battery and will see if events continue or not

i got 2 more errors like i had before it then stopped. only to be replaced with

CalICSSynchronizer::Synchronize - Synchronize failed: (0x80004005), step 0/0 and
DoICS() failed: ERR_FAIL
CalICSAgent::Synch: Could not synchronize for user

i have since moved 3 more users from exchange 2007 and 2010 without any issues.

found this article KB22637-"CalICSSynchronizer::Synchronize - Synchronize failed: (0x80004005)" appears in the Windows Event Viewer

seems a bit far fetched to me that this is the issue here. i will wipe the handheld device when get a chance and redeploy. hopefully that will sort it out, in the meantime the device seems to be working fine

in the end i removed the user from the bes server. added her back in and now it is working okay and the errors have gone
