Is it possible to use a Blackberry to pull up the BES 5.x webconsole? Will it give you the mobile version of the admin console?

No and no.
(Well, the webkit browser in OS 6 will allow you to login and use BAS, but it's still very difficult to maneuver.)

Take a look at Rove Mobile Admin. Provides a very nice interface for managing BES from your handheld.

RDM+ works ok for BES 4.x on Torch, but the page refreshes for BAS menus will be horrible IMO.

In your opinion, did Rove's acquisition of Mobile Admin (I assume it was an acquisition and not a name change) has made the product better? From my recollection of Mobile Admin it is an All-in-One tool (which makes me kind of leary of it) that is able to administrate practically all types of systems... What has your experiences been with it?

There was no acquisition.
The company that develops Mobile Admin changed names from Idokorro to Rove.
The product was amazing when it was first released and simply gets better with every version they release.

And, yes, it's not just for managing BES. You can manage just about any server or server application you can imagine.

in terms of functionality it does seem to get better and better, i use it to manage all our servers, workstations and not just blakberry service, it has plugins for tier 1 applications like exchange, symantec backup exec (although i no longer use this) and just to be able to do pings, traceroutes check event logs etc it is a great tool when you are nowhere near a computer. i must admit that my ipad with logmein to my desktop in the office is now also becoming a good remote access tool with much better screen but i don't always carry my ipad but my blackberry will need to be surgically removed in future
