When calling a mobile number from my contact list the handset is adding a 1 before the number which blocks communication. How can I overcome this?

menu button.
options
smart dialling.
change country code.

Thank you for the reply. I can not get to "options" as suggested. Green button brings up people or numbers I have called and pressing menu brings no response. Telstra Mobile menu screen gives me options in "settings" but nothing on country codes in options or advanced options.

This Blackberry is vodaphone which has been unlocked to use on Telstra network.

My frustration continues - your help/advice appreciated.

After you press the green button, try scrolling to the blank area above the numbers and then pressing the Menu button and see if the menu comes up.

follow MM's suggestions. If you try this on a line that a numbers is shown it won't work.
