Default Power Drain

Please Login to Remove!

I had left my Play book this morning with a little better than 3/4 charge and in stand by mode.
now 10 hours later, it was stone cold dead.
I had plugged it in and a red light came on and then went to green flashing.
I had read in another post that after a half hour of charging to reboot it by holding down the power button and +Volume,
This rebooted the Playbook and now the power bar is thin and orange and charging.

My question is, Does anyone know why this would have gone dead?
Has anyone heard of other people reporting a similar power drain?

I have left it in standby mode since I had bought it and have not had trouble.
Is this practice of leaving it in standby bad?

Any light you could shed on this would be appreciated.
Thank You

more than likely, you left WiFi and or BT on.

your playbook has a SMB server on it that is constantly listening on all network interfaces for file sharing purposes. Other network services are turned on when development mode is enabled.

Bluetooth connections can also sap juice.

if you're not going to be using the playbook in any capacity, turn *all* connections off and then standby or just turn it off.

maybe you did not agree to the viceo chat agreement, i leave mine on all the time with BT and wifi on.

I hardly ever get more than 10% drain over night.
