Default Bridge to Nowhere

Please Login to Remove!

Successfully created the bridge between the PB and a 9700 running OS6.

Every time I try to open mail or any other bridged item on the PB, it says

Blackberry Bridge is Disconnected
The password is incorrect. Please try again.

With an "OK" box beneath. Pressing OK does nothing. Have to restart the PB.

Have rebooted the BB and PB countless times.

On the phone with PB Tech Support now.

VERY DISAPPOINTING.

Sorry to hear about that problem. The bridge with my Tour is working perfectly.

Have you seen any other users posting a similar issue? I haven't yet, but I will keep an eye out.

About 20 minutes ago a couple of people posted on CB that the problem was the version of the OS running on their BB.

Guess I will be downgrading my BB shortly to the released OS for the 9700.

Been on the horn with Tech Support for 35 minutes.

Have you been speaking with them or just on hold?

Spoke with the Level 1 rep, who asked a few questions, reboot the PB, etc.
Been on hold for "Someone from RIM" for about 15 minutes.
Decent hold music. Not the worst.

When you made the Bridge connection, did you have to enter a special code on the BB? I didn't the first time, but did the 2nd

I did a QR Code Bridge the first time, then did a manual.

Wiping out BB and loading 6.0.0.461 on it now.

Downgraded to 6.0.0.461 - the latest released version (had to do a wipe and did a resettofactory for grins) and it paired and is working.

Glad you got it working and I hope the BB downgrade doesn't make you suffer in other ways....

I am having the same problem. i upgraded to the latest version of os6 released by Tiwan Mobile and am having this problem. I do strip out COD files and the like from my builds, so i'll go full on stock with the latest commercial release to see if that clears it up; if not, then i'll load .646 back up.

If the latest version from tiwan works, then i'll start to strip out files until i find the ones that break BB Bridge.

Yep. A mostly stock OS install of the newest version (tiwan mobile - 6.0.0.546 (2475)) works. My PlayBook asks me for my BB pasword when the phone is locked.

I'll try to slim it down a bit but still keep bridge working.

Hybrids apparently have issues with the bridge.

Agreed; hybrids do. Ive stopped building hybrids due to lack of time. I still slim down my builds quite a bit though. I have many apps (each with a significant amount of app data) and the 9700 does not have a whole lot of storage space.

I was having problems with my custom slim builds connecting with bridge, but i was able to successfully slim down the .546/.207 build AND keep bridge working.

the OS install went from about 200 MB to 55. After installation (but before application restore) i had about 117 MB of free space. This number will likely decrease to about 70 after application and application data is restored.
