Right ok,, taken out old sim, put in new phone all seems good....
But i cannot receive txt messages ?

I have everything else apart from that.

Been on to phone and all the said was take battery out !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WTF !!

Any help would be great.

That's actually good advice... with the 9700 powered ON, remove the battery for a minute and put it back in to reboot.

JSanders is correct.

removing the battery, waiting about 2 min, then putting it back in is good advice.

the point of that is to try and clear and reset the SMS service center number. this is the number your phone connects to in order to send SMS's.

if that does not work, you need to manually set the sms service center number for your carrier. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
