Default High availability for BES 4.1

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

I'd like to know if there is a way to build a high availability platform for BES 4.1
The database will be hosted on a cluster SQL, but I don't know what to do with the BES part.
Does anyone have infos on that part ?

Thanks a lot.

Look into something like Neverfail.
BES 4.1 does not have any native HA facilities built in. You'll need to use a third-party solution.

Thanks a lot for your quick answer.
If I install 2 BES into my BBY domain, if my BES1 fail, can I move user hosted on BES1 to BES2 ? Is there a need for re activation for terminals ?

If both of your BES share the same SQL database, then you can seamlessly move users from one BES to another.

You only need to do a new Enterprise Activation if the user will be moving to a BES with a different SQL database.

That actually is a very common practice, just make sure you have a diffrent SRP key.

To make both BES server share the same SQL database, it's on the installation of the second BES server that i need to point the database to the existing one ?
