Is there any other way to close an app other than using the menu button? I thought using the red call-end button only exits, and not closes an app. I was just going there was a shortcut for this.

Or press the esc key a feew times till the main screen. This will also close the program as well. -not sure if the pearl phones have an ESC key.

It does, but it doesn't "close" the app, only exits the screen. It'll still be running in the background.
It's ok though, just another one of those things I have to adjust to. Thanks for your help.

This is true I didn't think of it. If you hit the "Back" button it should, in most cases exit the program completely. The "End" key will leave it in the background.

Yea, I found out that little tidbit by accident. I was wondering my BB was hourglassing all the time (a subject I brought to the forum). When I was told to check my open apps, I had about a gazillion of them. I realized then that when I thought I was closing them I was actually just sending all to the background with the "end" key.

Hold the ALT key and hit the back button, it will bring up the "switch applications" menu, which shows you everything running
