Unhappy Hour Glass

Please Login to Remove!

Is it my 8100 or does it take forever to open up some programs. I have 35 megs left and when ever I open up the media and pictures the hour glass pops up and takes at least 30 seconds to load. My 8700 never takes this much time to Load anything. Is this true to all 8100's ?

I think there are quite a few things that play into this fact. I think running the latest Os will help and clearing out the cache will help as well. Try giving it a good ol hard reset too! good luck!

I have the same problem as mentioned above and it is really annoying...even showing the thumbnail views of pictures is as slow as all get out...

Could you post how to delete the cache? THX

I have cleared my cache. Pulled the battery. I'm running more then enough megs at 35 still left. I only have 2 programs running " Browser and gmail " but at least twice a day I have to do a hard reset. This has only happend twice in 6 months on my 8700 and I have all the same programs running. I can't figure it out.

Do an OS re-install. If you have an older version, get the latest. My Pearl goes right into anything I pull up, so it's not normal.

The file to delete is the "vendor.xml" file located in c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader. Delete it after downloading and installing the OS package to the PC.
