This download is from At&t but will work on ANY carrier's 8100 model BB. (Not 8100, 8120 or 8130)

1. Download the above OS file to the PC then install it to the PC by running (double clicking) the file you downloaded. (Vista users be sure to right click on the .exe file and select "Run As Administrator.")
2. Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
3. Plug in BB and double click on "Loader.exe." It's located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

The process takes about 45 minutes to an hour depending on how much data you have to backup and restore during the process. Once it's done loading the new OS it will reboot (it may do this twice during the entire process.) You will see a white screen with an hourglass for up to 20 minutes at a time while the DM says "waiting for initialization."
If, for some reason, you end up with a white screen with small icons and the number 507, simply connect to the PC again and run Loader.exe again and it should load the OS to the device.

I've got Latest OS: 8100 4.5.0.304/4.5.0.181 (Multilanguage) and App Loader will not let me upgrade to this Version of the 4.5 OS saying that it's older than the version I've got on my phone.

That's because the Platform version for this build is slightly lower than the previous build.

That would explain it,didn't think to check platform version until you pointed it out lol. Is it worth downgrading the platform version to have the latest 4.5 version?

It really doesn't matter. For some reason they chose to use a lower platform version for this release. Technically this version (4.5.0.182) is a newer release due to its more recent build date.

I've just upgraded to this version of the 4.5 OS and find it to be far more stable than the previous 4.5.0.181 version due to the lower Platform version. I found 0.181 slowed down and froze more than it is doing on this version, I'm really glad I upgraded to this release and dropped a Platform version.

Tried dowloading the new OS. When I click on the link, it brings me to 4.5.152 not .182. ANyone else having this problem? Anywhere else I can download this newest OS?

Hello, I am new in the forum. I am from Venezuela. I have a BB Pearl 8110. I have problem with it because my BB reset alone each moment. BB is unlocked (T-Mobile). I need to know wich OS is the perfect to install on my BB, in order to proof if it work better. The battery is good and i tried to install some OS but it doesn´t work. Sorry for my english.
