Am i the only one confused as to how this charges??? does it use the metal on the back of the battery door? i thought that was just a magnet? didnt know it was possible to charge the battery?

The gold connectors on the back of your Curve were designed for charging. They make contact with our cradle and charge your battery!

Default Terrible Customer Service

what horrible customer service.

I ordered a number of items from sedio last week for my new curve including the desktop charger.

I haven't received my order, so I checked online and found it hadn't shipped yet. I called and the girl said that the order is on hold because the charger is out of stock. THEY HELD THE ENTIRE ORDER. THEY DIDN'T NOTIFY ME.

I asked the girl to send the other stuff today, she said she would 'try'. I asked her to find someone else who would, she said that they had other orders to ship today, but would try to get mine out too. I asked her if she meant she had other orders that are more important than my order which was placed last week. She no, but there were other orders. I asked her for a supervisor and she told me that she would try to get my order out today. I asked her why she ignored my request and she said she didn't, that she would try to get my order out. I said that was last request was for a supervisor.............. We went in circles for a while until I finally got a supervisor on who tried to be helpful, but really didn't understand that it's bad service to hold 80% of an order because one item is out of stock and not notify me.

I want the items, but I'm torn. I don't to spend my money at a place which doesn't value my business.

I sincerely apologize for the issues you had with your order. I did some research and would like to explain to you what happened.

I do show your order was placed on late Thursday evening around 10:00PM. This would put it in process beginning the 8th. We do try and get all orders shipped out within two business days, but this isn't always possible, especially if a product is on backorder.

You order was still in process when you called on Monday (the 2nd business day). You actually would've received an email Monday afternoon letting you know the order was on hold because of a backorder, but you called prior to that being sent. The customer service rep then put your backordered product on a different order so the rest of your items could be processed and shipped.

We will typically put an order on hold if we're expecting the product soon, (your backordered product came in today). I do apologize that Customer Service couldn't guarantee you that it would go out yesterday, but I'm sure they didn't want to promise something they couldn't deliver.

As a courtesy, I've bumped your shipping to overnight so you can get your order tomorrow. I will send you a PM with your tracking number.

I looked at my bank account yesterday and saw that Seidio refunded my whole purchase for the cradle and something else I ordered. Then I checked my email and it gave me a list that zero items had shipped! I called and they didn't know why my order had been cancelled and refunded, so they expedited my shipping to 3 days...

The two charging cradles and burgundy case (for my GF's curve) arrived on Tuesday just minutes before we left for a 2500 mile road trip. The cradles are excellent and work like a charm. (One suggestion for version-2: maybe a sound hole for the microphone to allow improved in-charger hands-free phone calls). The burgundy rubberized case looks fabulous on my GF's red 8310.

Anyone have a skin on their curve and has tried this product? I've got a best skins ever wrap on my phone and would want to be sure that it would fit well in this charger before I bought it. Although I may even put a hybrid case on over the skin, the skin is only good for scratches and such and doesn't help much with protecting against falls.
