I believe the trial version is only on their website, not on Handango.

Sorry to quote myself, but here's the answer to that question...

As for the DOD certs, they're just an option when installing the OS on your blackberry. When I first installed OS4.0, i didn't bother with them, because I didn't think I would need them and I was trying to conserve as much memory as I could on my Turtle7750. But anyone (I suppose) can select them when installing. It's as easy as selecting Brickbreaker or French Language Support.

If you go to the edgeq download page at http://www.edgeq.com/Products/Traffi...adTraffic.aspx, the only download links for RIM point to Handango and ask for $2.

Looks like they've changed their website since I downloaded. There used to be a note there saying to navigate to http://wap.edgeq.com to download for blackberry, but now they've changed it to http://mobile.handango.com

Their wap site is still up, so you can get it that way. Hope I'm not stepping on any toes here...

hmmm, well, I downloaded it and it has a very nice map of where the traffic cameras in DC are, but won't pull the cameras up. I'd be happy if it even showed problem areas, especially DC metro area, not just DC.

Aaah well, If DC gets better coverage, I know I'll buy this software in a heartbeat (XM is unreliable and slow in updating) and I'm sure it will become very popular with all of the government/corporate types here in DC/MD/NoVA

We now have over 1,000 DOT traffic cameras worldwide.

We are not able to add many DC/MD/NoVa cameras because either they are videocams (too slow for cell connections) or DOT keeps changing the location of cameras.

We have recently added Pittsburgh, Toronto and many other cities in the US and Canada.

If you already have TrafficEdge, please go to TrafficEdge/Settings/Refresh Camera List to subscribe to new cameras. Thank you all for your support of TrafficEdge. We also have ShopEdge for Amazon.com and Amazon.ca which is free from Handango.com.

I get the error:

Error starting TrafficEdge: Module 'te_data' must be signed with the RIM Runtime Code Signing key (RRT).

I checked under Settings => Applications and DOD Root Certificates 4.0 is on the list. Do I need certificate sync installed as well? Can someone out there help me? It kind of sucks right now that I bought the program (I know it's only $2, but it's always nice to have a program work when you buy it) and it doesn't work. Thanks in advance.

This customer somehow had his DOD Root Certificate corrupted on his 7100t. From Blackberry Desktop Manager on PC, used Application Loader to delete the certificate and then reinstalled the root certificate on 7100t. That fixed the problem.

We have now released a new updated Trial Version of TrafficEdge on our website http://traffic.EdgeQ.com which you can try before you buy a registration key from www.handango.com. If you point your Blackberry browser to http://traffic.EdgeQ.com, you can download the updated Trial edition over the air (OTA).

If your current TrafficEdge version works on your Blackberry, there is no need to upgrade the version. There are no new features and we do not offer a free update.

Do you have plans to make it work on a Verizon 7250 without BES?

We are looking into adding Verizon 7250 support in future. With Verizon, they really lock down the gateways and we need to do additional development and testing work.

In the meantime, please feel free to download a 14 day TrafficEdge trial from your device browser at http://traffic.edgeQ.com

We have Windows Mobile Second Edition and PocketPC versions also available.

Thanks

TrafficEdge is not supported on Verizon and Nextel devices. Some Nextel customers are successfully using TrafficEdge. We are looking into the installation issues with Nextel phones. We are also looking into supporting Verizon devices.

Thanks
