Hey guys, i need some help. My bb 9000 won't turn on. Basically what happens is that the red light comes on and after that, the loading screen comes on (the white screen with the black hourglass box thing?), but it doesn't turn on. After the loading screen comes on, it automatically turns of again and the red light comes on once again.. and it repeats the process over and over again. I don't know what to do. Ive tried taking out the battery and recharging it but no luck. Please help. Thanks

Sounds like it needs a firmware flash.
Note: this will wipe the blackberry clean. Chances are if you don't have a backup you've lost the data on it at this point.

1) Download the latest firmware for your device
2) Launch the desktop software
3) Pull the Battery & leave it out.
4) Insert a USB cable - it should display a battery & lightning bolt on the screen (dim)
5) Follow the prompts for upgrading.
6) Now re-insert the battery during the firmware upgrade - this can take a long time to complete.

Have you tried a battery pull?

It could be the battery. I had a similar problem and a new 9000 OEM battery fixed it. Or as snoo says, it could be a corrupt file or incompatible theme or app causing the problem and you need to reload the OS.

What did you do just before this happened?

In some cases, if it is a corrupt file, then you will need to wipe the device with Jl_cmdr (see the FAQ) and reload the OS (see the yellow sticky at the top of the 9000 section.
