We currently has a BES server for our Groupwise system. It is likely this year that we will be migrating to Exchange 2007.

We are up to date on our maintenance contract with RIM.

What will our cost be pertaining to the BES software? Are we entitled to use the BES for Exchange under our maintenance agreement or will we have to re-purchase the server software?

You're covered with your SRP & CAL ... and I guess in theory you'd be able to use BES for Exchange.

That said, I'm not a licensing expert and you should talk to your sales rep for proper licensing answers.

The CAL are interchangable. I've taken CAL from Domino BES and installed them on Exchange BES. Not sure about the SRP key.

SRPs and CALs both don't matter when it comes to mail platform. The only thing that matters is the BES software, you will need to get the BESX software from RIM. If you have a TSupport agreement then it's free, if not, sign up for BES Express but don't use the SRP or CAL that you get. You will get the BES for Exchange, latest version, for free.
