Default Internet Issue

Hi All,

Ive recently purchased a 2nd hand BB 8100 froma friend. It work's fine but it's browser tells me to contact service provider to enable it. I called helpline of my carrier but they said that they donot yet offer Internet for BB on Prepaid plans(which I have) ,the Postpaid plans are very expensive here in Pakistan and I simply cannot afford that plan. I've installed opera Mini and it works fine, can you please tell me if there' s any other way to make BB's own browser work? and I've read over here that I wont be able to use RIM's app's...this is so heartbreaking...Another friend of mine purchased BB Storm from someone and he's using BB's Browser on Prepaid plan( we have same carrier), ive checked all of his BB's settings but couldnt find anything differnet then mine except in his Options>Advanced>Browser>Default Browser Configuration..shows Telenor

Ive tried every single option but I couldnt be made on my phone..what should I do?? and any Third party MSN Messenger link???

Thanx

Nope. The only way to use the built-in browser is with a BlackBerry data plan. Opera Mini is your best bet.

In your friend's case, sounds like they may be using the carrier's wap browser.

In your case, see blackberryfaq.com and the article on what you need a BlackBerry data plan for, and how to use a BlackBerry on a generic data plan. Sounds like you already know the latter.

Bottom line, you need a BlackBerry data plan to use the BlackBerry data services.
