I have a user with an 8820. We are using BES 4.1 and Lotus Notes/Domino 6.5.

So I have the devices reconcile set to:

Delete on Handheld and Mailbox
Wireless Reconcile as On
On Conflicts Mailbox wins

Now the user has mail on his BB that is *not* on his notes mailbox. Reconcile works on all new messages, but not the old ones.

1. I’ve tried deleting the mail individually, didn’t work.

2. I’ve tried clicking options on the date and selecting delete prior, didn’t work.

I tried turning reconcile off and trying 1 and 2. Didn’t work.

I’m stuck here. Any ideas?

PS, I’d generally do more google research, but this is the CEO's BB so I’m just trying to get it turned around.

Plug the device into a PC with Desktop Manager, launch Desktop Manager, open backup/restore and select advanced, this will show the the device database. From there, click on Messages and click clear.

This will delete all email in the message folder, not just the old mail.

Yup. That's a corrupt Messages database, happens here and there. jsconyers' advice will fix it.

Of course right after he gave me that one of our SQL servers broke and my inet connection went down.
