Question Blackberry Tour Camera Problem

Please Login to Remove!

I have a Blackberry 9630 Tour with a camera problem. The movie camera works fine, but the still camera fails to produce a recognizable picture. The trackball operates the zoom normally, the flash operates normally, and the shutter clicks when I press the trackball. However, the resulting picture is garbage, i.e., horizontal colored lines instead of a picture.

My space parameters are:
(Application Memory Free Space = 98.8MB; Media Card Total Space = 14.8GB; Free Space = 13.5GB).

Memory parameters are:
Compression = Enabled; Media Card Support = On; Media Transfer Protocol = Off; Mass Storage Mode Support = On; Auto Enable Mass Storage Mode when connected = Yes.

Camera options are:
Default Flash Setting = Automatic; Autofocus = Normal; Image Stabilization = On; White Balance = Automatic; Picture Size = Medium(1024x768); Picture Quality = Normal; Color Effect = Normal; Geotagging = Disabled; Store Pictures = On Media Card; Folder = Media Card/Blackberry/Pictures.

Can anyone explain what the problem is? Thanks for your help.

Not worth the hassle.
Bring it back to Verizon and make it their problem.

I took the phone back to Verizon and they pulled the battery. That solved the problem. Verizon recommended pulling the battery once a month. Thanks for suggestions.

Wow if you get away with once a month pulling your battery you are doing great. Pulling the battery fixes many issues

Pulling the battery is highly overrated I have only pulled mine once in 7 months.

Just one question, are you restarting the BB with an app or some other way? or are you saying that your BB has been up all that time.

I have occasionally restarted it with ctr-alt-del, however very infrequently.
