This I hope comes to Rogers/Telus/Bell end of July. I'll love to carry an upgrade to my 9700 I just hope the batteries are switchable.

I wonder how long it will take for Verizon to get a version like this. Probably six months to a year since they just released the Bold 9650.

yep! i saw earlier. I'm just hoping as more bb's come out.. they evolve more to tackle the ever growing market share. Not gonna lie, RIM is falling off as king of the hill while Apple and Android bites a size of it's piee

But.. either way! I can't wait for this phoneeee hopefully the browser would be 981234891x better

Doesn't matter, I'm stuck with a BB because my office doesn't support other platforms and will pay for my dataplan. If I could get my work e-mail on an Android, I-Phone even a Palm product I might look elsewhere.

Blackberry does have a certain market covered. Now if they'll just release the new phones already, or atleast give a date certain.

I wish they would stop using the cheap chromed plastic bezels, and use a real metal bezel or include a black version. The 9800 looks a lot harder to take apart.

Here we are in July and still no Slider or Pearl 2 3G for AT&T, I wish they would get with the program already. I really want to upgrade this 9700 and my wife wants a 9100 to replace her 8520. End Rant

I'm excited about the new Blackberry phones set to come out soon I hope but even if it takes them awhile I can wait as I have No contract to break I'm ready now. I ditched my 2G iPhone yesterday and got my Storm 2 up and running it's unlocked but it does what I need it to do. And the BIS data plan on my blackberry does work so I got the apps to keep me busy until then. I could've upgraded to the 3GS or the iPhone 4 but apple left me with a bad experience so I switched pure and simple. Rim held the market for years and yes they are still the preferred maker of government approved handheld devices across the world. Any government heck even the olympics use them and so I believe they took notice of the success of the iphone and android phones and have been learning what they can do to wow us the ever growing cell phone market. Be patient they can surprise us Go Go Rock On.

I didn't read whole article. Curious to see if we will see a mass production on August 15.
