Did a battery pull today and received a new service book when rebooted - Bing. I guess this is a new deal with Microsoft and Verizon? Anyone try this or is it just another link to install a search engine app that we've all tried in the past with other vendors along the way? Like Viigo for example?
I anticipate more 'Verizon crippled by device' threads
Nope...first time I saw the link to install the app. My browser's primary search engine is still Google and it's still the engine selected when I hit "Go To...".
Bing was added to my bookmarks however awhile back and I deleted it.
Continuing on here 'cause I continue to see articles relating to Bing being the only or primary search engine within the browser but as of today, my search engines are still Google, Live Search, Wikipedia, and Dictionary.com so I don't understand how others are seeing Bing only. I don't even have Bing as an option.

Strange....!
Me either. I installed the Bing app because at least it works with the GPS on my 8330 unlike Google Maps or Poynt. Bing isn't all that bad but I prefer Google Maps.
It's hit me. I got the bing icon the first day I had my Storm2 and hid it, but this weekend I suddenly lost all my search providers other than Bing. Pisses me off, but it's a work supplied phone.
