Dear friends,

we have released a demo of our new BlackBerry e-mail tagging utility - TagIt! With TagIt! you can create tags and assign these tags to e-mails. Later, you can use these tags to quickly search for e-mails.
Everyone who tries the demo version and e-mails us will be given a discount once the application is officially released.

Default How does it work

Concept sounds great. However, just did the load and it does not seem to do anything. Frankly, at 10K size, not sure what it can do and there is no documentation.

Default So I got it to work

How do I sign up for discount? In terms of feedback, it would be great if you could put a tag on an email from the inbox screen as opposed to having to be viewing the actual email.

Default More feedback

Also would be great if you could use key strokes to accomplish certain of the tasks. For example, once a search is done, it would be great if you could press enter when looking at an email to view it rather than having to use the trackwheel and clicking view

It adds options to the message folder. The options are different with a message open than without.

Thanks for the quick follow up on the feedback. This is even more helpful now. While I'm guessing you can' t do this, it would also be great if you could see the actual email. If not, it would be helpful to have the to, from and date on the screen withthe subject and body.

Default Great Idea

I like the concept, it seems similar to Gmails use of labels (instead of folders), however, when I execute a search all I get back is the subject line of the email, and part of the body. Is there any way to actually link to the email so that attachments, etc. would be viewable.

Rick,
thanks for the suggestions. So far, there doesn't seem to be an easy way to fully "link" to an e-mail. However, we are working on some further improvements to address this issue.

Thank you and have a nice day

I am really starting to like the possibilities of this. More suggestions, if you can stand it.

We will need a way to organize the tags. Either move up/down or alpha sort or something.

It might be nice to show all other info from the message list and not just the subject line.

Nevertheless, usable as is.

Thanks,

Steve

We have finally added the "reporting" feature. You can select which tags and what attributes (subject, from, to etc...) you want to have included in the report and you can also send the report (so that you can for instance process it on your desktop). We hope you will like it.
The latest version is available at www.link-two.com/bb.html

In addition to alphbetizing or assigning positions it would be nice to allow search within an assigned category within a set date period.
