Except, I get in "Invalid Phone Number" message when trying to use "1" to Speeddial my Voicemail. That happened prior to the Browser upgrade. Not sure what that's all about, but I'll have to figure it out one of these days!

Unfortunately, I disagree. As far as the Browser goes, the new icon showed up and the access works fine after the update, but if the "1" was working for VM access before the upgrade and it is now not working after the upgrade, it would be one heck of a coincidence that it was not related to that particular change.

Well I am not quite sure about that have you installed anything else. Because this morning when I deleted verichat I lost all my bluetooth information so anything is possible. I am sure its coincidence only.

All I can say is finally. After being tossed around for two hours on the phone with Nextel, I hit the lottery so to speak, and found a tech person who knew exactly what I was missing. Basically, they sent me the Blackberry Internet Browsing and IPPP for BIBS service books. Bingo, just like that it shows up. As mentioned in an earlier post, why do you have to go through all these resets, pull the battery out, etc., when they can just send the service books. Like the new browser, no problems with it so far.

I caught a good t2 service guy yesterday who had mine up in minutes. He said it has to do with Web Client? He had me go in and delete the web client from my service book, but leave all the others. Then goto the host routing table and do an register now and blamo it was there.Hope this helps someone else.

Nextel said they couldn't get it back and couldn't retrieve the services...Sim card stopped working and no IP address...I dont want this new browser until I know it doesn't conflict with anything...I'll use webviewer for now...

I think thats what happened to my phone too. I had to swap for a new one thinkin somethin was wrong wit my phone. I got no service at all battery was blank and services were off. I had no ip and the sim was not readin so it said i had no sim card in. i jus took it back and got a new one today. u think my phone was goin thru the process of gettin the new browser? I called nextel and they told me that the private ip server had an outage. ionno if that had anything to do wit it but i hope my new one doesnt go thru the same thing.

Hey I purchased my 7520 from a Nextel Store on the 18th of May and I still do not have the HTML Browser.... all I have is the NOL (Nextel Online) Browser which I don't think is what everyone is talking about.

I resent my service book from the BWC and still nothing... is there something else that I need to do in order to get the HTML Browser?

You must update your phone to the most recent OS upgrade in order to receive the web browser.

Okay kiddies here you go:

Download the new Software
Delete your service books From the top to the bottom
Turn off your 7520 and remove the battery
Wait 2.5 minutes
Go back to your service books and undelete ONCE
That should bring up the Blackberry Browser Book
Clikck the wheel to view
Click to send
Wait a few seconds while the transmission occurs

Success! And not one phone call to Nextel.

Excellent. I updated the software and waited and waited but no browser arrived. After following the steps above it appeared and works!

Thanks!

Update the handheld software on the Blackberry site...

1. Perform a Master Radio Reset found in Security under options...
2. Delete every service book except for Web Client. EVERYONE...
3. Register Now under Host Routing Table...and all service books apper
again... and viola there is your HTML browser for the 7520...

I've done this process with 3 of my friends already and found it worked for all...Good Luck and let me know if this works...

Just got off the phone with BB support (nextel 7520) - The reason I had no new browser was because I had an older version of the BB software: 4.0.0.16. I had to download/install/upgrade to 4.0.0.249, then do options - HRT - register now, then options - security - master radio reset.

I can't believe what I've been missing!

I've been lurking for awhile and registered finally to thank spaceman for the directions. the html browser worked, but i lost the ability to send e-mails because in the process the e-mail configuration was deleted or something. I tried powering off, taking out the battery. Tried master radio reset. Tried to re-register. In the end, I had to call customer service (tier 2) and they had to reactivate my account. now everything works.
