Default Unnecessary Service Books

Are there any service books that are unnecessary that could be removed and deleted to speed up my system?

you should not delete your service books, what u can do from your main menu is press your menu key and select switch application, all of the open apps can be closed except browser, messages, bb im, home, and missed calls, the rest can be close and it will run faster. i often have 10 open programs and don't know it until i select switch applications.

I always delete the facebook, garmin, and one other service book that automatically gets sent to my phone.

Of course whenever I re-send my service books - I have to redo the process.

Best thing you can do is have less programs installed/running.

i appreciate your contribution to this thread, but that's common knowledge if i'm asking about service books...i want to cut any background processes or space that is being used unnecessarily by my phone so i'm delving into the service books arena

yes, but i've had 15 programs running at once before without any problem...and i have tons of apps installed...no big deal...the google sync app wrecked my remindermanager process/app that's built into the OS, but once i solve that problem it has no trouble running all of this stuff...afterall it's a 600 mhz computer (my storm is at least...sorry non-storm users)

You can delete service books as you want, however they will get re-pushed back to your device, either manually or by VZW. Best thing you can do is just hide the shortcut icons, they really won't impact BB performance as long you aren't clicking on them, and most of them are just web shortcuts anyway.

Service Books can be resent ether from the Email Setup icon on your BB or from the BIS Site, after logging into your account.
