BBSmart Shortcuts Issue
Please Login to Remove!
Hi all... When I go to add phone and e-mail shortcuts, the drop-down text won't show after the contact search (it's as if it is white text on a white background.) I assume this may be theme related, but I'm running a standard OEM theme, so this is problematic. I've not seen this with any other program, and I've been using this theme for at least 6 months.

Wirelessly posted
I haven't had that problem, I just downloaded it and the other thing I have found out is that is doesn't like phone numbers in as (xxx) xxx-xxxx I have to take the dash and parathesis out for them to work. At least in the sms messages

Mine, too. It was working earlier and now is throwing the errors. Hopefully they will have a resolution.

I haven't had any problems so far, but I don't see a way to put somethings on the toolbar that I wanted, like voice dialing or Brick Breaker.

In case anyone missed it, there is a version 1.1 of Shortcuts (On CrackBerry and BBSmart's OTA page) though this has not helped me. To be honest, issues started after installing the update (Uncaught exception: java.lang.NullPointerException) which in the release notes state it fixes. In my case rolling back to base version or complete uninstallation via DM and reinstallation of base version (DM or OTA) doesn't seem to help.

this app still need lots of polishing, you can't cut and paste url, big, huge, massive error, who's gonna key huge url's, what else, I can't create a memo, task, contact, nor calendar entry ala Launchpads, I wish bbShortcuts had that, I'd be sold then, grant it, it looks great, I like the layout but its missing some serious functionality

Thanks for all your feedback guys! We'll be working here on improving it
For those who on upgrading to v1.1 encountered the NullPointerException error, can you please email me (neil@blackberrysmart.com) the details for the corresponding entry in the event log?
Thanks! Trying hard to get this resolved as quickly as possible for you.

Hi All,
I just wanted to provide you with an update that we have now fixed the problem internally regarding some users upgrading to v1.1 and getting the NullPointerException. We have also added in several other little fixes.
Currently working on some final testing & packaging and we should have an update to you within the next 12 hours. Thanks so much for your patience
Cheers,
Neil.

Hi. Version 1.3 is functional for me. (Version 1.2 would not work at all.)
Issues I have encountered with 1.3:
- when I try to backspace while searching a contact, I get a program crash with the NullPointerException
Questions (Issues?) I have with 1.3:
- Should I be able to add more than one contact for messaging and phone? I seem to be able to add only one.
Desired features for future versions:
- Importing of bookmarks from the browser
- Shortcuts to notes, (specific notes - then I could have frequently used reference info easily available...)

Since I'm still perplexed by what happened to the previous thread about BBSmart Shortcuts went, I had made two suggestions. If it was deleted, it would still be viewable yet it appears to be scooped off the face of the forums completely.
1) Addition of BB Media Player, Options, Manage Connections to Shortcut bar.
2) Ability to use the Shortcut bar independently, like showing currently running applications.
Thanks again for your great work thus far, not just on Shortcuts but Alarm Pro and Email Viewer as well. Sorta like pokemon, gotta collect 'em all. :P
Disclaimer: No, I do not watch Pokemon. It's not like everyone else in the world hasn't head it before, just like everyone knows what a Power Ranger is even though they haven't watched it yet avoid it like the plague (like me).

v1.3 is working for me too.
I would also love to see the Profiles option be added to the Toolbar applications. I currently have my right convenience key set to messages, and the left to BBSmart Shortcuts. Would love to have the Toolbar show Profiles.

When I send an SMS, the sent copy shows up on my homescreen, but not as a sent message in my messages list, not sure why. I have to open the sent message from the homescreen and delete it or it won't go away. This is on an 8330. Anybody else having this? Yes, I have my BB configured to hide all sent messages. I do not have this issue if I send an SMS natively.
Thanks
