Anyone know if you can disable sure type when typing out an email? Drives me nuts when the words they think your typing keep popping up.

Yes, Options > Screen/Keyboard > Portrait View Keyboard > set to full keyboard or multitap.

Yeah I did that but when I'm in portrait mode it still does it when I'm typing out a message.

This is driving me insane as well. If this isn't suretype, then its autotext or autocomplete or something. This started after I installed the .328 OS.

Whenever I type sms or mail messages, this black horizontal bar appears in the text field and displays 5-6 different words that i might be trying to type. I can't find the menu to get rid of it - How do we get rid of this crap? I hope someone can help.

Options. Language and Text Input. Input Style -- default is Word Completion. Change to Auto Correction. (only other option)

thanks, TXlady, that is Word Completion. I like it, it works great for me.

If you type fast enough, you never see the word completion.
If I slow down, I see it.
And, when I get to a word I am not sure about spelling on, it usually has it suggested if I can correctly entered the first 3-5 letters.

Nice! That helped a lot. I hated that word completion. It only helped when I typed something ridiculous and long.
