Default Video Light stays on phone won't boot up

When I put the battery in the video light stays on and the phone won't turn on. I have not updated the OS for about six months. Any ideas.

Video light? Do you mean the LED in the upper right corner? If you connect your device to your PC, is the device detected?

No the light on the back of the phone that comes on when taking a video or maybe a picture. The computer won't detect the phone.

I would download the OS for your device and install it on your PC. You can find it in a sticky thread at the top of the forums.

Once you've done that, delete the vendor.xml file and then follow these steps:

Tried to reload OS. PC won't connect with the phone. Phone is dead except for the camera lite on the back. The phone did get alittle wet before it went dead. I have been trying it now for 4 days on my dash in the hot Florida sun. Is this thing now a brick?

You should have mentioned that the device got wet in your original post. Did you leave the battery out of the device for those 4 days?

It could be a brick. The link I posted is a way to get the device to be detected.

Yes I left the battery out. I also would put it in rice over night. I will give it a try.

Thanks
