In your message list, click the thumbwheel and choose View Saved Messages. Is there a bunch in there unread?

I click to save message all the time by accident.

No saved messages. When I deleted the program off the phone, it made me reset the phone. After the reset, the messages fixed themselves, so all is fine now. I love this damn phone. Why did I think WinMo was so good? And Palm before that? I'm guessing most of the people on here generally hate both of those OSs and I now tend to agree.

WOW. What a great recommendation/review. Are you sure you don't work for RIM?

I hope Bell Mobility in Toronto will carry the 8100. Have a 7130e but will get the 'Pearl' when it becomes available.

Rogers Wireless should have it in October according to my corporate Rogers reps. ETA is near the end of October. It'll be a while before it goes to Bell.

lol. I can assure you I don't work for RIM. In fact (and I hope this doesn't get pulled) I am a real estate broker in FL. SO....if any of you, or your friends, are looking to buy or sell a house in FL, please give me a call.

I have to say...the pictures don't do this thing justice. It's amazing looking and the weight is PERFECT! Doesn't feel too small (and I'm 6'3" 200 lbs).
Not to try to get this thread back on track....

As I will continue to carry my corporate issued 7290, I am hoping that the pearl is small enough to carry in my front pocket - just like I currently do with my Razr (which is unlocked and will be going up on Ebay once I determine that the Pearl is good for me)?

Other than the pictures with someone's hand, do we know the exact dimensions of the Pearl?

I can tell you it's very, very close to these dimensions:

3.90" x 2.00" x 0.58" (99 x 51 x 15 mm)

I held a Samsung T809 next to it, and they are almost identical. I think the BB was a little slimmer, maybe right at .50"

So, to summarize for all, it's about the size of my T-Mobile Razr.

Thanks!

I wound up walking into a Tmo store at a mall near my house, got the standard "can I help you find anything", and I asked for info about the 8100. He said that they couldn't say anything, to which I responded that I was cool w/that, but I was more interested in the form factor as I can find out all I need to about the phone from here on forums like these. So then he pulls one of those "pssst...c'mere...I'm not s'posed to do this..." and then plops the 8100 in my hand.

OMG

Small...thin...bright screen...works for my big fingers...and light! Easily, easily fit in my hand for one-handed operations. The look of it as well, shiny, bright again, just made it a great phone to look at.

Now all I need to decide upon is do I try to get used to SureType or wait for the QWERTY equivalent. I'm in desperate need for a new phone, so this one might be it. It just looked/felt great. Coming from my old moto v600 anything's an improvement...but wow...I may not be able to wait...looks f'n awesome.

Actually, it's thinner than a RAZR when the RAZR is closed.

This will be the longest 12 days. I hate when I know something this cool is coming and I can't buy one now. I am now hoping they will be available on the 12th and the stores have enough in stock.

I SAID IT'S "ABOUT" THE SIZE OF MY RAZR! I didn't say it WAS the size of my Razr!

We are dealing in generalities here!
