Question BESX Problems with our public internet IP?

Hi all, it is time to ask you something.

I´m from uruguay, we have an infraestructure with 7 BB Bold 8900, 1 Exchange Server 2007 on Server 2003 64 Bits & BESX.

Recently (Today 00:31 Excatly) a lot of logs in 2003 server started written:

Event ID: 10.000 | Black Berry Router (Error)
[SERVICE_RELAY_SESSION:XXXXXXXXX:XxXXXXXXXX] Relay Ping Response not received

Event ID: 20.000 | Black Berry Router (Warning)
[RELAY_SRP:XXXXXXXXX:XxXXXXXXXX] Send: Pipe plugged

Event ID: 20.000 | Black Berry Router (Warning)
SRPReceiverHandler: Select failed with error code 10038

Event ID: 50.097 | BlackBerry Dispatcher BBESX (Information)
[SRP] Dispatcher\SRP Connection dropped, Error=0, Reason=-7 Router disconnected

Event ID: 50.096 | BlackBerry Dispatcher BBESX (Information)
[SRP] Dispatcher\SRP Connection established

Even 3 minutes the evets log again.

1 user, connected oly to the wireless network provider (Movistar, in this case) told me that was not recieviing e-mails. When i disconect wireless network & connect wifi netwwork e-mails appear on inbox.

I try all the things to do, ping our node uy.srp.blackbery.com, tracert, telnet, all is OK.

Our internet connection is an Dynamic ADSL (12 hours and change ip). Cassually, 00:30 the connection take a new ip and the problem start here, 12 hours after, 12:30 aprox. change again but the problem persist. later, around 15:00 hs i change the default gateway on the server (other internet privider, static ip X.x.x.x) 20 minutes and the logs stop. I retrieve the situation and the problem start again. I need to know if my ip address of my internet provider is blocked or something.

Can you help me?

Because your IP is changing frequently, this may be a case of RIM's network thinking that you are using your SRP on more than one server.

Call RIM T-Support and check to see if they have blocked your SRP.

I have BlackBerry Enterprise Server Express, can i call support? If you have the phones or where i can get i wil appreciate.

SO your issue is with a dynamic IP fails but BES works fine with a static one?

Hi knottyrope, may be the dynamic connection, because when i try with other gateway around 20 minutes and the logs stop. But, this problem start yesterday, before the besx works fine with this dynamic adsl. Have you got some phone to call?

use a static IP for any server that needs a reliable/constant connection

hi all,

when i'm trying to activate a BB device using wireless activation a have warning with error code 10038(Black Berry Router and BlackBerry Dispatcher ), and the BB device is not able to be activated
